Eileen is the owner of Tailors Through Time who runs workshops at various schools in Crawley and the surrounding area.

Currently, she will be working with Year 3 and Year 6 and will be talking about the Victoria Era.

She has been extremely busy recently making authentic Victorian outfits that the children are able to try on.  She has made them a true likeness to those worn back in the 1900s and has even been using Victorian patterns.   Should your child have the pleasure of attending a Tailors through Time workshop I’m sure they will have a thoroughly enjoyable day as the outfits are wonderful and Eileens has so much knowledge, its wonderful to listen to.

The day was very busy but the children had great fun trying them on and even learnt a bit of history at the same time..

I’ve added some photos from the day showing the beautiful clothes that Eileen has made and to show how wonderful they look on the models.

Victorian Models for Tailors Through Time

Victorian Models for Tailors Through Time

Such fun day today…

It was a wonderful family occasion working for my Aunt who is an extremely talented seamstress and runs “Tailors through Time”.

She has been very busy designing and making each and every outfit as it would’ve been made during the Victorian era, so that she can take them into the local schools of Crawley, Horsham and the surrounding area and provide workshops for Year 3 and 6.

The plan today was to go to Weald and Downland museum so the children could have a look round  and try on the outfits in the beautiful museum setting.  Due to the rain though, we ended up bringing the photo shoot session forward and the children had a great time trying on the outfits and testing out their “Victorian” poses in the studio instead.

I’m really excited about editing the photos but here is one sneak preview of all the children together in the amazing period costumes.  If you are a teacher and are interested in Victorian workshops for Year 3 and 6, these outfits are absolutely beautiful and your students will love to try them on. Colour versions and closes up to follow….

The models here are:

Hayden – age 10, Katie – age 10, Maddie – age 8, Alfie – age 7, Harvey – age 6 and Bailey the dog – age 9 and as you can see the outfits fit them perfectly.
